Spring is in the air—and so is the sound of rehearsals echoing through the halls of Rainey Institute! We’re thrilled to announce the 2026 Spring Showcase, a celebration of creativity, growth, and the incredible talent of Rainey’s young artists.

This spring, three of Rainey’s core arts programs will take the stage at the Debra Ann November Theater (1705 East 55th Street, Cleveland, OH 44103) for unforgettable evenings of live performance. From a beloved children’s musical to a movie-themed concert to an original dance showcase, there’s something for everyone—and every ticket supports the young artists who make it all possible.

Rainey Dance Academy: The Road to Becoming

Rainey Dance Academy opens the Spring Showcase with The Road to Becoming—an original dance showcase that celebrates the journey of growth, self-discovery, and artistic transformation. This performance features choreography by Rainey Faculty, Student Choreographers, and Guest Choreographer Zachary Tuazon, with special guests from Art Adventures.

Watch Rainey’s dancers tell their stories through movement as they explore what it means to find yourself through the arts. It’s an evening that promises to inspire and move audiences of all ages.

Rainey School of Music: The Sound Behind the Screen

Lights, camera, music! El Sistema @Rainey and Vocal Explorers, featuring Art Adventures, present The Sound Behind the Screen—a spring concert inspired by the magic of movie soundtracks. Rainey’s young musicians will bring the silver screen to life with performances that explore the powerful role music plays in the films we love.

From sweeping orchestral themes to beloved vocal arrangements, this concert is a cinematic experience you won’t want to miss. Grab some popcorn (concessions available!) and enjoy an evening of extraordinary student musicianship.

Rainey Drama Club: James and the Giant Peach Jr.

The Rainey Drama Club closes out the Spring Showcase with three performances of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach Jr.—the beloved musical adventure brought to life by our talented young actors! With words and music by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (the award-winning duo behind Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman) and a book by Timothy Allen McDonald, this production promises laughs, heart, and a giant peach full of wonder.

Join James on his magical journey with a cast of quirky insect friends as they travel from a dreary hilltop to the bright lights of New York City. Three chances to catch this one—don’t miss it!
